Teaching Standards

Our Teaching Standards

At Bilingual Community School we adhere to the rigorous standards set by the Department of Education in the UK. We pride ourselves on consistently striving to improve.

  • Our teachers undergo continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest research and best practices in education.
  • We regularly evaluate and assess our teaching methods to ensure they are effective and aligned with the needs of our diverse student body.
  • We also foster a supportive and collaborative environment, where teachers can share their expertise and learn from one another.

By upholding these teaching standards, we are able to provide our students with the highest quality education and equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.

Every Year
At BCS Bali, professional development is at the core of our commitment to excellence. Teachers engage in a dedicated training week, focusing on specific goals. They also receive a comprehensive end-of-year appraisal, which establishes clear objectives for the upcoming school year. What sets us apart is our dedication to personalized growth—teachers are provided with tailored support to align with their individual career aspirations. Moreover, our School Management actively explores schools following the U.K National Curriculum, seeking inspiration and innovative ideas to continually enhance our educational offerings.
Every Term
Teachers have a formal observation from school management, based on UK teaching standards, which includes a feedback meeting, a list of specific teaching objectives for the coming term, and a review of their goals from the previous term.
Every Week
Teachers at BCS Bali benefit from a comprehensive support system that ensures alignment with the UK curriculum standards and our school's values. They engage in one-on-one meetings with the School Headteacher, where their Weekly Planner is reviewed to ensure curriculum compliance. Additionally, teachers participate in whole-school meetings, fostering collaboration and discussing past and future weeks. Internal teacher training sessions further enhance their professional development. Meanwhile, our School Management conducts leadership team meetings to uphold standards and monitor progress, ensuring a cohesive and effective educational environment.
